Bucks Bar

Bucks Bar:

In this blog post I will discuss Bucks bar. Bucks bar have two locations in Glasgow: one of these is on West Regent Street, and the other in Trongate, around the Merchant city area. This restaurant is surrounded by other eateries and offers a large indoor seating space with bar, as well as a number of smaller outside seats covered with parasols. I visited bucks bar on a Friday afternoon, the restaurant was very busy, and we were fortunate to seated without a reservation.

The Bucks bar menu is largely based around their offerings of burgers, and more specifically, chicken burgers. With numerous different kinds to choose from, along with sides, portions of wings and vegetarian options there is no shortage of options. I chose to order the ‘Salt’n’Chilli Chicken burger’, which came with fries included, as well as  a Nutella milkshake. The cost of the burger and chips was £12.95 (although there are cheaper options) and the cost of the milkshake £4.50.

The food was served quickly to the table once the order had been placed. My first impression of the food was the sheer size of the burger and quantity of food. It was extremely tasty and definitely did not leave me wanting for more. In addition to this, the milkshake was also very good and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal. Although previously thinking that the cost of the order was perhaps slightly above what I would normally pay for a burger, after seeing the portion sizes along with the taste of the food and milkshake, my doubts quickly vanished.

I had eaten from Buck bar before by ordering the food for delivery and had always found it in the past to be soggy, particularly the chips. However, the in-restaurant experience and food eliminated this issue entirely. I enjoyed the whole meal and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of a chicken burger.
