Dennistoun Bar-B-Que
Dennistoun Bar-B-Que:
For my final blog post I will be addressing my recent visit to Dennistoun Bar-B-Que. This restaurant is located in the centre of Dennistoun, just a short walk east of the city centre. Inside the restaurant is industrial with the kitchen open and visible in part to the those in the seating area. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at around 6:00 on Thursday night so we were able to easily find seats.
Dennistoun Bar-B-Que offers a large variety of Barbequed quiesces like burgers, buns filled with pulled meats and a number of classic BBQ sides. Orders are placed by customers directly into the kitchen and are paid at that time. I ordered the beef brisket bun which came with pickles and slaw; however, fries were not included. The cost of the bun was £8.95. The restaurant also offers a range of different drinks and more craft beers than would conventionally be offered.
The food took around 10 minuets to be served. The portion sizes were extremely large and very tasty. The brisked itself was very flavourful and not dry at all, the slaw and pickles complimented it well. It was not the highest quality of food, however offered a fresh and authentic BBQ experience which I believe was the desired appeal for the establishment.
Overall, I enjoyed my trip to the Dennistoun Bar-B-Que and found it to offer authentic BBQ cuisine. I feel that the price of the food was fair considering the size of the food provided, however I would have liked to seen chips included in this price as opposed to an additional extra. I would recommend this restaurant to those interested in a quick, casual, and fulfilling meal or snack.
